Diabetes - A Growing Concern

Diabetes affects nearly one out of every 10 people in the United States.  The dangerous thing about diabetes is that many people do not notice any warning signs and remain undiagnosed ... increasing their risk for heart disease, stroke, blindness, and amputation.

What Can You Do?

  • Talk to your health care provider about testing your blood sugar level.
  • Be active at least 30 minutes a day, most days of the week.
  • Keep you weight at a healthy level.
  • Keep your blood pressure and cholesterol under control.

Diabetes depends on a diagnosis and active self-management.  Take the first step and talk to your health care provider.
